📌 Project Description: Revolutionize Harley-Davidson Procurement Using AI


Harley-Davidson initiated a major transformation project targeted at overhauling its procurement processes by embracing AI and analytics to drive efficient operations. The name of the project team was called Supplier Information Link, or SiL'K in short, and was tasked with the following activities:

An enterprise software solution should be selected to redesign the whole procurement system. 2. Allow real-time risk management. 3. Apply AI enabled procurement analytics. 4. Apply predictive models in the process of better decision-making, reducing costs.

⚙️ Key Highlights of the Project:


Assessment of Current Processes: The identification of inefficiencies within decentralized procurement systems that restrict the effective application of analytics.

Providers Assessed: While one provides real-time integration and dashboards, others lack natural AI capabilities and have to be customized.


Vendor 2: Outstanding for predictive analytics and contract management, but very pricey with risks around platform portability.

Vendor 3: Integrates well with existing systems, has cost-effectiveness as compared to Vendor 2, but scores low on manufacturing strength and training. It also exemplifies Harley-Davidson's embracing of advanced technology to stay ahead in the game-a step that will help improve its supply chain capabilities.
